Lets talk about your project!
Briefing
The process begins with understanding the project's requirements. This involves gathering all the necessary details about the animation, including the objectives, target audience, key messages, and any specific guidelines, deadlines and budget requirments. This step ensures everyone is on the same page and sets a clear direction for the project.
Scripting
Once the brief is clear, the next step is to craft a detailed script. The script serves as the blueprint for the animation, outlining the narrative, dialogue, and key actions. It's important to review and refine the script to ensure it effectively communicates the story and resonates with the audience.
Storyboarding
With the script finalized, the visual planning begins with storyboarding. This involves creating a series of custom illustrations (if needed) that represent each scene and sequence in the animation. The storyboard helps visualize the flow and timing, ensuring the story is clear and the pacing is appropriate.
Voice Over
After the storyboard, it's time to record the voice-over. This includes selecting the right voice actors for the characters and recording the dialogue and narration. The voice-over should align with the script and bring the characters and story to life, adding depth and emotion. if you already have your own voice artist that'd totally works too.
Animation
The core of the process is the animation itself. Start by drawing the keyframes, which are the main poses and movements of the characters. Then, fill in the intermediate frames, known as tweening, to create smooth transitions and fluid motion. This step requires attention to detail to ensure the animation is engaging and visually appealing.
Sound & Music Design
To enhance the animation, sound design is crucial. This involves adding sound effects that match the actions and atmosphere of the scenes. Additionally, composing or selecting background music that complements the mood and tone of the animation can significantly elevate the overall experience.
Sign Off
The final step is to present the completed animation for feedback and approval. This involves a thorough review to ensure all elements are cohesive and meet the project's objectives. Any necessary revisions are made before the final sign-off, ensuring the animation is polished and ready for delivery.
